Programs offered by Rose Padilla Johnson center include licensed child care services through four child development centers. Child development centers offer hope to parents who risk unemployment due to a lack of affordable and reliable childcare. David Street began its child development program at its licensed childcare center 1190 Site. Since its establishment in 1972, the center has grown from caring for 24 children to 60 children between the ages of two and kindergarten age. The center accepts applications for subsidized and non-subsidized schooling year-round, although it possesses a limited number of private slots. Subsidized and non-subsidized schooling is for full-time and part-time preschoolers.
